The first time you noticed him was the day before school started. You had just transferred from [Country] and you were new to Tokyo. You happened to enroll in Tōō Academy as you heard they were famous for being one of the best high schools in the city. As you familiarized yourself with the area, you happened to walk by to see what appeared to be the basketball team practicing. Seeing you were familiar with the sport, you decided to check it out. When you reached the courts, you heard the squeals of girls as they watched with lovesick eyes. Frowning, you weren't sure what the fuss was about and turned your attention to the game. One male stood out from the group of boys and you felt your [eye colour] eyes widen, practically soaking the image of the boy into your brain. He was tall, about a whole foot more than yourself, with a dark shade of blue hair. You assumed his eyes were the same shade, though you couldn't tell from this angle and you hoped he wouldn't direct his attention to you. His skin was tanned, contrasting with the rest of the players who had lighter skin. Despite not knowing who he was, the whispers from the group of girls made you irritated and completely uninterested.

Feeling annoyed, you continued on your way, the phrase 'Generation of Miracles' stuck in your head, whatever that meant. If this was all Tōō had to offer, you were in for a huge disappointment.

.

.

.

The first time he noticed you was on the first day of classes. He always hated homeroom as it was boring and he'd rather sleep than attend. Sadly, he always walked to school with Satsuki and she would harp on him if they were going to be late. When they reached the gates, she excused herself, saying she had to do some things before class began. Resting on his hand, Aomine continued to stare out the window, a frown on his features, oblivious to all the unwanted attention. Every girl was the same, always flocking around him because he was a prodigy in basketball. He didn't understand how the rest of the Miracles could handle it, especially Kise who was a model and a member. All this was exhausting and annoying to deal with, and the only thing on his mind was basketball.

At least until you walked in the class.

He saw your reflection through the glass and as much as he hated to admit it, you were beautiful. Your [hair length] [hair colour] hair flowed down your back, a few bangs covering your [eye colour] eyes. Your face held a small frown, as you kept looking around the classroom, before looking at the schedule in your hand. You were definitely shorter than him, if he had to guess, you were at least a foot shorter and almost the same height as Satsuki. Aomine barely caught the whispers from some of the boys in the class about your figure, and he wanted to bash their heads in.

'Hot damn! Look at that chick! I didn't know we had a girl like her in our class!'

'She has to rival Momoi-chan in the looks department. Though I wish her breasts were bigger.'

'Who needs big tits when she's got a nice ass? That skirt is almost leaving nothing to the imagination.'

It was as though you were unfazed by their comments as you sat in the desk closest to the door. You didn't even glance in his direction, which is usually the first thing all the girls did in the class. He saw you take your [favourite colour] phone out to quickly check the time before placing it back in your bag. Slouching slightly in your chair, he heard you sigh before you gently rested your head on the brown table.

'Hmm.. A girl who doesn't even spare me a glance... You definitely have my attention.'

.

.

.

The first time you talked to him wasn't by choice. It had only been a week or two since school started and already the teachers were making you team up on a project for English. You didn't know many people yet and you preferred to keep your distance, not wanting to attract unwanted attention to yourself. Tapping your pencil against your desk, you were almost done translating the third page when a chair skid across the floor, jarring you from your thoughts. You felt yourself pale when you saw the famous basketball player, Aomine Daiki sit in front of you, straddling the chair and laying his head on his arms. You couldn't stop the frown from appearing before you went back to ignoring him. His gaze didn't leave your form, watching with a smirk on his face, as you continued to translate the assignment. After what felt like a long time, you sighed before placing your pencil down.

"Can I help you?"

He shrugged, "Not really."

"So then why are you here?"

He blinked, "The teacher said we had to work in partners. I decided we should work together."

You snorted, "What makes you think I'd want to be paired with you?"

You could see the smirk widen, while it would normally intimidate other girls, it had absolutely no effect on you. If anything, you felt yourself getting more irritated with each passing second.

"What girl wouldn't wanna work with me? Do you even know who I am?"

"Of course, you're Aomine Daiki, ace of the basketball team. But is that supposed to impress me? Do you think I'm just another fangirl of yours?"

"Well, if you were, you would of course jump at the chance to be my partner. But since you seemed rather annoyed at my presence, I'd have to say you don't like me very much."

Scoffing, you saw his eyebrow raise before you picked up the pencil and continued working on the assignment. "Of course you'd jump to conclusions. Momoi-san was right about you. You really are arrogant."

"How do you know Satsuki?"

"I wouldn't say we're close, but she helped show me around the past couple weeks. I wouldn't have expected a girl like her to be so friendly. Guess I misjudged her."

You didn't see the ace's expression change while you focused your attention elsewhere. Not wanting to get homework, you continued to finish the assignment, fully aware his eyes never left you after the short conversation. Clearly he had more he wanted to say, but either he sensed you didn't want to talk or he didn't know what to say made him remain silent.

"I'm assuming the reason you chose me as your partner is so you wouldn't have to do any work."

"Tch. Even if I wanted to offer my help, which I'm sure you'd reject, you've basically finished the assignment so there's nothing for me to do."

"Is this how you get by in all your classes? Just solely using people?"

"The only thing that interests me is basketball. Everything else is too much of a chore."

"And yet you still have a fanclub. I'm honestly amazed girls flock to you."

Leering at you, he mistook your tone as jealousy as his smirk grew even bigger, "What, are you jealous?"

Almost snapping the pencil in half, you raised your eyes, only to shrink back when you realized just how close he was to you. A blush appeared against your will when you noticed just how gorgeous his eyes were. You were right when you guessed they were the same shade as his hair. You felt your teeth grind in irritation before feeling the object snap between your hand as you threw the first half at him.

"Why the hell would I be jealous? I just don't understand what's so good about you. All the girls talk about is Aomine-kun this, Aomine-kun that, but I don't see anything about you that's appealing. Do you honestly expect to get through life on just your looks or basketball? Because I've got news for you, there's more to life than that."

Rubbing his cheek where the pencil hit, he didn't take his eyes off you. He was a bit surprised to actually be hit like that by someone who wasn't Satsuki. Normally he would get angry and retaliate, but for some reason, he couldn't find it in himself to hit you back.

You really were gorgeous when you were angry.

Frowning at the broken pencil in your hand, you went to retrieve another from your bag when you saw Aomine hold his out for you. You felt your eyes narrow in suspicion before slowly reaching your hand out to take the object from this guy's hand.

Damn, why does this guy have to be so attractive?

"Say, you never did tell me your name."

"You never asked."

Leaning his head on his hand once again, he looked at you with those navy blue eyes. For some reason, you couldn't read his emotions which made you even more annoyed. Even when other men hit on you, you were at least able to understand what they were up to. But with this guy, it was hard to believe someone like him was this guarded. You felt your own eyes narrow a bit before they softened. This guy was gonna be the death of you.

"Well, I should know the name of the girl who hasn't paid me any attention."

Feeling your own smirk form on your lips, you couldn't hold the chuckle in , "Why? Does it bother you so much that not every girl is interested in you?"

He shrugged, "I wouldn't say that. Rather, you're very intriguing. You're one of the only girls who doesn't throw herself at me. So it caught my attention."

"Why are you telling me this?"

Another shrug, "Dunno. I guess I just feel like talking today. See what makes you tick."

You felt your eyes widen at his confession before the bell rang, returning you to the present. It was time for lunch and as much as you wanted to finally escape this guy, a part of you also wanted to keep talking.

"[Last name] [First name]."

He turned his gaze back to you, a frown on his face. "Ha?"

"You wanted to know my name right? It's [Last name] [First name]."

Gathering all your supplies, you pushed the chair in before heading to your locker, completely unaware of his eyes watching your every move. Maybe this year wasn't going to be so bad after all.

.

.

.

The first time he hugged you was when you had tripped and sprained your ankle. It seemed over time, you and Aomine had gotten closer in the past few weeks and you had even started calling him by his first name. You had told him you weren't even going to call him 'Daiki' at school because the last thing you needed was to be harassed by fangirls and as much as he hated you were only calling him his first name when you were alone, he was happy you had decided to even refer to him as Daiki at all. Of course, he'd never admit this to you, since he didn't want you to think it meant something different.

Eventually you and Satsuki got closer too, thanks to Aomine and before you knew it, all three of you were walking to school together. You even learned some things about the guy from her, such as he had been playing basketball since he was a kid. He and Satsuki knew each other since they were children and she was the manager of the basketball team. He was the ace on the basketball team back at Teiko. He eventually got tired of playing because he couldn't find someone worth challenging.

Guess that explained his ego.

It was a chillier morning than normal and you had waited for the two to arrive at the corner. You weren't sure what was making them run a bit later than normal and you had been shivering a bit despite wearing a jacket over your uniform. You had earbuds in your ear as usual, since the silence of the streets bothered you, so you failed to see the bicyclist heading straight for you. Slightly whistling, you turned your head, only to feel your eyes widen as you took a step back, tripping over your backpack. You almost landed on your butt, instead felt shoes underneath you and a knee digging into your back, causing your head to look up into blue eyes. Your headphone fell out of your ear as you stared up at your best friend.

"Oi, what the hell are you doing?"

Feeling a rush of heat scorch your face, you turned your gaze to the streets, the biker completely gone as you tried to stand up.

"I was waiting for you two when I didn't notice a bicycle coming. It was my fault, I should've paid more attention to my surroundings. When I took a step back, I tripped over my own bag."

You heard him chuckle, "Man you're so clumsy."

You were about to retort when his arms wrapped around you and gently placed you on your feet. You definitely felt embarrassed and you were thankful it was only the two of you at the moment.

"Daiki! What the hell? I can get up on my own!"

"You took too long idiot. Let's go, Satsuki will yell at us if we're late again."

Growling, you tried to walk, when you felt a sharp pain in your right foot. Gasping, your bag fell from your shoulder, alerting Aomine of your pain as you tried to limp your way to school. Panting, you took in deep breaths, your face wincing in pain each time you walked, and as much as you tried putting on a facade, you knew it wasn't working on Aomine. Sighing, he grabbed your bag before wrapping his arms once again around your body, only this time, carrying you like a bride. For what was the third time that day, you felt your face heat up as you attempted to push against him, struggling in his grasp.

"Seriously Daiki? I can walk to school on my own!"

He sighed, before pressing you into his chest, causing you to gasp, "Idiot. You sprained your ankle when you fell didn't you? If I let you walk on it, Satsuki will get mad that I was too insensitive and she'll call me an idiot for letting you be reckless. At least let me carry you to school so we can get the nurse to check on it."

Hiding your face in his neck, you couldn't believe he was actually hugging you. Though technically it was your fault he had to carry you, but it still didn't change the fact he was walking with you in his arms without complaining about it being a hassle. Cursing your heart as it decided to race, you rested your head on his shoulder, inhaling his scent as his body heat wrapped around you, making you feel light-headed.

"Besides, you look rather cute wrapped in my arms. Are you getting embarrassed about being carried like a wife?"

Punching him in the shoulder, your arm joined the other that was wrapped around his neck as you muttered, "... Shut up."

.

.

.

The first time he saw you crying was when you got a phone call during class. The teacher gave you a look, but when you noticed who was calling you, you stood up and excused yourself before quickly rushing out of English class. Aomine didn't take his eyes off the door the entire time, feeling concern for your strange behaviour. This had been the first time you'd ever had such a panicked look on your face and it didn't sit well with him.

It had been half an hour since you left class and still there was no sign of you returning. Feeling anxious, he asked to be excused to use the bathroom. The teacher gave a look as if she didn't buy it before allowing him to leave. Getting up from his desk, he made his way out of the classroom without looking so eager to escape. He heard your hushed whispers from around the corner and decided to investigate. When he saw you on the floor, pressing the phone to your ear, he couldn't stop the sadness from creeping into his heart. Your head was resting against your knees as you continued to speak in a language he couldn't understand. The only reason he knew it was bad was the tone of your voice and the distraught look on your face.

His frown deepened when he saw the trail of tears on your cheeks, and he wanted to do anything to stop them from falling. Clenching his fists, he growled slightly, alerting you of his presence before you heard the person on the other line go dead. He noticed your hand shaking as you wiped the tears, avoiding looking into his eyes. You didn't want him to see you so vulnerable as he hated annoying whining and girls who cried. When you felt his arms wrap around your shoulders, your eyes widened as he pulled you into his chest. You felt his arms shake and as much as you wanted to ask him why, the words were caught in your throat.

"I don't like it when you hide your emotions from me. I'm not gonna ask what happened, but if it was serious and you feel like crying, just let it out."

Swallowing, you whispered, "I thought you hated girls who are annoying and constantly whine and cry?"

Tightening his hold, he pulled away enough to look into your eyes. "I've never once thought you were annoying. I care about you [Name] and if you ever need to cry, I'm more than willing to lend you my shoulder. Hell, even if it's 3am and you need someone to talk to, I'll always be there. So don't ever feel you annoy me with your tears. In fact, I'd honestly rather see you cry than shoulder the pain alone... Idiot."

You weren't sure if you had started crying while he was talking with you or after his speech, but you felt yourself practically jump into his arms and cry on his shoulder. This was the first time he admitted to caring about you, which only made you feel more guilty for hiding your emotions from him. Here he was, trying to help and you were trying to push him away. Your hand clutched his shirt as you slumped against him, letting out the tears you've kept inside you for the past three years.

It didn't matter how long you'd sat there in his arms, all that mattered was you felt safe and warm.

And all you could think about was how you'd suddenly fallen in love with your best friend.

.

.

.

The first time he kissed you was at the Winter Cup. Despite losing in the first round, you still felt proud of your best friend/crush for doing his best. It seemed he has reconciled with his old light, Kuroko Tetsuya and he had gained a new rival in the name of Kagami Taiga. You wanted to rush out of the stadium to see how he was doing, but when you reached the locker room, you overheard the team question where Aomine was. Feeling panicked, you felt your legs carry you outside, the doors being pushed by your hands didn't register until the gust of wind hit your face. You felt a tiny chill before you ran, your head darting back and forth, hoping to catch a glimpse of the tall, tan-skinned male.

Turning when you heard a noise, you felt your feet carry you to the steps where there laid Aomine Daiki. You felt your body shiver against your will as you stopped beside him, hoping to get his attention. The ball spun on his finger before turning his eyes to you. You couldn't stop the smile from forming on your lips as you decided to sit beside him on the cold ground. You rested your arms on your knees before you watched silently as cars drove by, completely unaware of the two teens sitting in the cold.

"I had a feeling you would be out here, Daiki."

"Ha? How'd you figure it out?"

Shaking your head, you turned to look at him, "Who do you think you're talking to? Who said Satsuki-chan was the only one who analyses people? Then again, you're quite easy to analyse since you're always about yourself."

Lifting himself so he rested on his elbows, Aomine turned his eyes to you, "Do you still think I'm like that?"

Shaking your head, you leaned in, your lips almost touching, feeling the smirk creep on your lips, before you snatched the ball and started running, "I'm beginning to think you're very simple minded Daiki."

His eyes widened in shock, he felt the growl in his throat as he lifted himself off the ground and started chasing after you. "Oi! Get back here with my basketball [Name]!"

Shaking your head, you yelled, "You lost Daiki! You don't get to keep your basketball! It's mine now!"

Wondering when you had become so childish, he felt the grin spread on his lips before turning the corner and practically tripping over your form. While you were quite athletic yourself, there's no way you could outrun Aomine, which was why you had stopped to catch your breath. However, he didn't realize that as he practically tripped on you and yanked you to the ground, his arms trapping you against his body.

The basketball had slipped out of your grasp as you stared up into his eyes, the dark masking his expression and a frown formed on your lips. If there was one thing you loved about Aomine, it was the colour of his eyes. They were so gorgeous and you realized you had fallen for this idiot the same day you looked into those blue orbs.

'Che, the idiot made me fall for his stupid charms after all.'

A pressure on your lips snapped you from your thoughts as you realized Aomine Daiki was kissing you. Your [eye colour] eyes widened before you felt him adjust you in his arms as he deepened the kiss. Surrendering yourself to his touch, your eyes fluttered shut as you applied pressure back, gripping his jacket in your small fists, trying to get closer to him. Growling, his hand rested on your back and the other snaked into your hair, pressing your head closer. Your lungs ached for some air, but you didn't want to let go of his warm lips, instead you pushed yourself closer, a small moan escaping your lips. His tongue licked at your lips, sending pleasure down your spine, eliciting a gasp from your mouth which he silenced with his tongue. Your body was responding very well to his advances, but you felt very light-headed from the amount of kissing and the lack of air.

When you finally pulled back, you inhaled the air as though you just came up from being underwater. Your eyes were half-lidded with desire as you stared into his eyes, which were full of lust. You tried to regain your senses but your body tingled as he trailed his lips down your neck, his tongue tracing the path. Just as you were coming down from your high, you gasped when he bit your neck before suckling on the spot, causing you to yelp before smacking him in the head.

"Daiki! What the hell? People are gonna see that and ask questions you idiot!"

Smirking, he placed a quick kiss to your lips before standing up with you in his arms, "I'm only marking what's mine. The rest of those idiots can kindly fuck off."

Blinking, you couldn't stop the smirk from your lips as you whispered, "Oh? Are you jealous?"

Tightening his arms, he glared at you, which shot shivers down your spine, "Hell no. I have nothing to be jealous about. You're my girlfriend now."

Gently rubbing his arms, you narrowed your eyes before looking away, "Oh am I? I don't recall being asked. You're just assuming that after one kiss, I'm suddenly yours."

Before he could retort, you claimed his lips once more, feeling a rumble in his throat before pulling away, "It's okay, I find your possessiveness quite... sexy."

Slipping out of his arms, you started to walk towards the forgotten basketball and picking it up. Shivering when you got hit by the wind, you blinked when you felt a coat covering your form. Turning your surprised eyes towards him, he shrugged before keeping his eyes straight. You caught a hint of red on his face and you were about to ask when a pressure on your hand made you look to see his hand wrapped around yours. You felt the smile on your face as his awkwardness as you leaned against his arm.

This guy was such an idiot. But it was one of the reasons you loved him.

I got this idea from a fanfic on DA written by AnnieDMC . She did one of these for Kise, and I loved it so much I asked if I could use the same prompts for Aomine because I just love this stupid jerk. I also hope he's not too OOC. I tried my best.
If only he was real.. -sighs-
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this!
I may change the title so it doesn't copy Annie's fanfic too much. If you want to read hers, here it is:
